Port Isaac Port Isaac Harbour

Port Isaac

There's plenty to do around Port Isaac, so you don't always have to go far for a nice day out.

Walks: Leaving Port Isaac in either direction along the coast will take you to coastal path walks with breathtaking views.

Beach: At low tide the beach is lovely for a potter and scramble amongst the rock pools.

Restaurants: There's a host of places to eat out in Port Isaac: The Slipway, Old School Hotel, The Mote and the Edge, are a bit more upmarket. The Golden Lion, Harbour Café and Watershed are a bit more informal. And you can pop in for tea, or a drink to most of these places dependent on the season.

Fishermen's Friends: During the summer, a group of local fishermen gather each Friday evening for a good old sing song, often outside The Slipway or on The Platt, if you get the chance to catch them it's a heart-warming event!

Fishmonger: If you fancy cooking some fresh fish, then there's Dennis Knight opposite The Slipway. You will also find a separate stall there that sells shellfish. You can buy fresh dressed crab, and the usual whelks and pint of prawns, but also you could treat yourself to fresh lobster! If you pop in in the morning and order it, they will cook and prepare it for you to pick up at the end of the day.

Groceries: You can get most of the daily essentials from the Co-op at the top of Port Isaac. In addition, you can get a few basics from both the Pasty Shop and The Peapod.
